Texas Volts Bring Professional Softball to Central Texas with Historic Opening Night at Dell Diamond

ROUND ROCK, Texas — A new era of women’s sports is arriving in Central Texas as the Texas Volts prepare to take the field for their inaugural season. On June 18, the franchise will make history with its Opening Night celebration at Dell Diamond, marking the arrival of professional softball in the region.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m., giving fans plenty of time to enjoy a pregame festival packed with family-friendly activities before witnessing the first game in team history.

The highly anticipated evening represents more than just the start of a season. It signals a significant moment for women’s sports in Texas, creating new opportunities for fans to watch some of the sport’s top athletes compete at the professional level.

A Celebration for Fans of All Ages

The Texas Volts are kicking off their inaugural season with a variety of activities designed to make Opening Night a memorable experience for the entire family.

The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a complimentary Texas Volts cowbell giveaway and a free sno-cone while supplies last. Additional attractions include face painting, Sephora hair braiding, a rock climbing wall, a mechanical bull, interactive games and other entertainment throughout the evening.

Whether attendees are lifelong softball fans or simply looking for a fun summer outing, Opening Night offers something for everyone.

Beyond the festivities, fans will have the opportunity to watch some of the biggest names in softball compete under the lights at Dell Diamond.

The Texas Volts roster features standout athletes including rookie sensation NiJaree Canady, veteran stars Sierra Romero and Rachel Garcia, and power hitter Michaela Edenfield. Their debut marks the beginning of a new chapter for professional softball in Texas and provides local fans with the chance to see elite talent up close.
